Monaghan Town FC said it was disappointed at the length of time it took for an ambulance to attend an emergency call out.

The 999 call was made at 12.29 following a serious injury to one of their U12's players over the weekend.

An ambulance arrived at 3.17 where the child had to remain in the same position on the pitch until its arrival.
