A local councillor has highlighted the 'Ready to Build Scheme' and how the roll out of the scheme could be implemented in Co Cavan.
Cllr Aine Smith said at a time when housing is one of the biggest issues in the country, she wanted to ask the county council about the scheme, where you can buy a site from a local authority to build your own home.
The sites are sold in towns and villages at reduced prices of up to €30,000 below the market value.
