Members of Shercock Tidy Towns are appealing to residents to report any instances of illegal dumping to Cavan County Council.
It follows four separate such incidents in the town over a number of weeks.
The group believe it is due to a small number of serial dumpers, striking this week at the Shercock Recycling Centre, and another individual has also dumped rubbish on Fair Green.
