IFA regional Chairman for Ulster and North Leinster, Frank Brady, spoke to Northern Sound ahead of the Monaghan branch AGM on Thursday evening.
Mr Brady said farming can be a lonely job and farmers prone to feelings of loneliness and isolation. The long time IFA member also said that IFA meetings now provide a social outlet for farmers and their families, where they can meet other people who understand their issues, chat and ask questions.
