ICSA are holding a sheep protest today in Dublin.
ICSA animal health and welfare chair Hugh Farrell says the dairy, beef, and pig sectors all received emergency packages in recent years due to market difficulties and the sheep sector should not be treated any differently.
The Ballyconnell native is asking farmers to come to Dublin to protest outside Dáil Eireann and the Department of Agriculture on Kildare St between 12 noon and 3pm.
The group is calling on all farmers for their support tomorrow as they seek a better deal for the sheep sector. The focus of the protest is on the lack of support from the Government.
Hugh Farrell has been speaking to our reporter Ronan Gargan about this afternoon's planned protest.
