Heather Humphreys has revealed she isn't ruling out a presidential bid.
Speaking on the Wider View programme on Northern Sound, the former minister said she would make a final decision on the matter in the coming months.
Ms Humphreys said that since bowing out of politics she has been enjoying life at home in Co Monaghan and getting an opportunity to take a break away also. She said that she is continuing to enjoy some time out of politics.
The Monaghan woman who has represented the people of Co Monaghan locally and nationally for over 21 years says she will decide on a bid to Aras later this year.
She was speaking to Ronan Gargan on her being one of 12 people nominated for the Monaghan person of the year award for 2024.
