The five-year wait for CCTV for Monaghan town has finally come to an end after Garda Commissioner, Drew Harris announced this week that the project had been given the green light. Cllr Brian McKenna has welcomed the development after highlighting his frustrations just last week over the lack of movement on the project.
Speaking to the Wider View, Cllr McKenna said he expects to see the installation of the necessary infrastructure taking root within six months. But first, he began by highlighting the fact that this latest development is news he has been waiting on for a long time.
