LISTEN BACK: Gap in children's eyecare emerges in Cavan and Monaghan

A major gap in children's eye-care services in the North West / HSE CHO1 - Donegal, Sligo, Leitrim, Cavan, Monaghan, has been identified by Optometry Ireland. Optometrists are calling for end to inequality in children's eye-care and say it's a 'geographical lottery' when it comes to children's eye-care in Ireland.

Optometry Ireland's John Weldon spoke to the Wider View this week about the difficulties that have emerged.  He began by highlighting how the situation is in breach of the Constitutional rights of children to have access to eyecare.
