A new building for Gaelscoil Eois in Clones has been given the green light after works were temporarily paused by the Department of Education. Last month, the Department announced that 58 building projects across the country were to be postponed due to financial pressures, including the local primary school.
Despite this, Minister for Education, Norma Foley this week confirmed that an agreement had been secured that would guarantee the rollout of the building programme.
Our reporter Jodie Curran spoke with Sinn Fein's Pat Treanor who is a local councillor for the area. She began by asking him how people felt when word initially broke that funding was paused:
