A local councillor has called on Monaghan County Council to support the Irish Foster Care Association in its appeal to the Department of Children to address the "significant financial hardship" being experienced by foster families.
The calls were made by Sinn Fein's Cllr Sean Conlon, who says it's imperative that the "invaluable" contribution made by foster families is acknowledged, and they are suppored in their effort to address the financial challenges they face.
