Members of the A5/N2 cross border committee met this week with Infrastructure Minister for Northern Ireland - John O'Dowd. During the meeting, Minister O'Dowd said an announcement on the A5 Western Transport Corridor is expected in the coming months. Despite this, local representatives raised their many concerns. Chiefly, over the lack of Government support to the N2 road schemes. The N2 Ardee to Castleblayney Road Scheme and the N2 Clontibret to Border Road Scheme projects are both on the A5/N2 NorthWest corridor.
