The Farney Foundation will present for the very first time the "Co Monaghan People of the Year Awards 2024" this month. The black tie event will take place at the The Hillgrove Hotel on Saturday the 22nd of February. The Farney Foundation was founded by local man Brian Rudden and is a non-profit entity that promotes and supports anyone and anything associated with Co. Monaghan all over the world. Anyone who has, or who has ever had, a connection with County Monaghan was eligible to be nominated and those nominations closed on Friday.
Following nominations, 12 finalists have now been selected for the Farney Foundation Co Monaghan People of the Year Awards. Brian Rudden who is the founder of the Farney Foundation announced the 12 finalists on today's Wider View programme with Ronan Gargan:
