Relatives of the two teenagers killed in a loyalist bombing in Belturbet in 1972 are considering legal action amid concerns that the controversial new legacy legislation might be used to try and shut down cases.
Nobody has ever been convicted of the bombing of the Co Cavan town. and in October of last year Gardaí reopened their investigation after a number of lines of inquiry were identified.
The families solicitor Kevin Winters has written to the Police Service of Northern Ireland, the Ministry of Defence and the North’s Public Prosecution Service demanding a swift response or face legal action
