"Extreme winds" are set to hit Cavan and Monaghan tomorrow. That's according to Met Eireann forecaster and Magheracloone man Gerry Murphy who described Storm Eowyn as a "severe weather event" due to the fact that status red wind warnings have been put in place throughout the island of Ireland for the first time ever.
Met Eireann and the British Met Office have a total of six red alerts to run from the early hours of tomorrow morning. The red weather warning will be in place for counties Cavan and Monaghan from 6am tomorrow until 11am.
