Every town in Cavan needs its own business park, that's according to local Fine Gael Councillor Peter McVitty.
The County Cavan Councillor proposed the motion at the most recent meeting of Cavan County Council.
He feels a business park could be constructed to facilitate the development and growth of indigenous service and manufacturing in each town where a business park does not yet already exist.
Cllr McVitty said that these business parks increase revenue for the council through rent and rates, and encourage new businesses into the county.
Independent councillor Shane P O'Reilly supported the motion, referencing the relevance it would have in his own town of Mullagh.
Councillor Peter McVitty has been speaking to our reporter Ronan Gargan about his recent motion.
Ronan started his conversation with Cllr McVitty by asking him why he feels so strongly about the idea of having a business park in every County Cavan Town.
