Listen Back: West Cavan woman celebrates 25 years as a pioneer

An event is taking place in Carrigallen, Co Leitrim, on Sunday; to celebrate 125 years of the Kilmore Diocesan Pioneer Total Abstinence Association.

There will be Mass and the presentation of pins in St Mary's Church at 2 o'clock; followed by dinner in the Kilbracken Arms nearby.

Patricia Shannon from Corlough-Templeport in west Cavan is getting her 25-year pin on Sunday.

She has been telling our reporter Eoghan Murphy about why she became a pioneer.
