More than €115,000 in adaptation grants for elderly people and those living with disability has been unclaimed across Cavan and Monaghan. That's according to local Sinn Fein TD, Deputy Pauline Tully who says the issues have arisen because of spiralling costs.
Speaking to the Wider View this week, Deputy Tully highlighted how the grants were not drawn down last year because the limits are currently too low for works to be feasible. First though, she began by saying how disappointed she is to learn of these latest development.
