Drumlinia Cavan Music Industry Week takes place from today with so much planned over a packed three days.
The festival aims to inform, educate, encourage and provide realistic expectations of what to expect if you are trying to or would like to get into the music industry.
The inaugural and first of its kind event for the county is being held in association with Cavan County Council arts and Cavan Institute.
Day one of the event will see industry speakers and tutors share a wealth of national and international experiences.
On Friday acclaimed Irish Soprano Celine Byrne will headline a classical concert at Cavan Town's Cathedral hosted by presenter Mary Kennedy.
This will be followed by Saturday's Listening room's event, which has high hopes of finding the next 'big thing' in the music industry.
Don Mescall, musician, producer and executive director of Drumlinia Cavan says there is an artistic flame in Cavan that you don't get in other places.
