A Crossmaglen Man has taken on a challenge of a 548km walk from Malin Head to Mizen Head to raise funds and raise awareness around the great work that the Southern Area Hospice do day in day out.
Stephen Hughes is currently in Co Fermanagh today and hopes to reach Cavan tomorrow and then on to Leitrim and then Longford with his final destination being Mizen Head.
This walk is very much in memory of his beloved dad who passed away last year and with his Dad having a great love for the local GAA team Crossmaglen Rangers and Stephen is wearing the clubs jersey on his travels and he hopes to get as many photographs at all the local GAA clubs on route.
Ronan has been speaking to Stephen in the past hour about this mammoth challenge that he has undertaken and he's been telling me all about it.
