An 86-year-old farmer from Crossdoney may be the unlikely voice for the 10,000 or so people in Cavan and Monaghan who are still without power a week after storm Éowyn.

Pat Clarke lives beside Killykeen Forest Park and he blames the electricity companies for planting overhead wires through a forest for the seven-day ordeal he finds himself in today. Mr Clarke doesn't hold back when it comes to the government response either.

Over the past days Northern Sound has been hearing from people all over this region who feel abandoned without power, information and support. Here Pat Clarke explains how people like him feel like they've had no voice until now:
