A Monaghan councillor has described the service provided by Bus Éireann as "deplorable" after an elderly lady was left stranded in Castleblayney.
Cllr Seamus Coyle revealed that when the bus eventually arrived behind schedule, there was a rush to get onto the bus.
He stated that the elderly lady was slightly slower than others getting to the bus door, and despite having a pre-booked travel ticket which was also paid for, she was "refused entry" onto the bus.
Speaking to Jodie Curran for the Wider View, the Fianna Fáil representative began by explaining some of the concerns which have been raised with him.
