A search for the remains of of Columba McVeigh on Bragan Bog in County Monaghan is currently underway this lunchtime. The Independent Commission for the Location of Victims' Remains announced that the search for the remains of the 19 year old began earlier today.
The search for the remains of Columba who disappeared in October 1975 was paused over the winter due to heavy rainfall. Columba McVeigh was abducted, murdered and secretly buried by the IRA in 1975.
Columba McVeigh's brother Oliver spoke to the Wider View this week. He began by highlighting how all the family want now, is to give their beloved Columba a Christian burial.
