Coláiste Dún an Rí in Kingscourt opened its doors 7 years ago with 68 students enrolled.
Since then student numbers have risen to over 700 enrolled at the local school.
According to Principal of Coláiste Dún an RÍ in Kingscourt, Mr Boyle, enrolment numbers are set to continue to grow up to 1,000 over the next couple of years.
Plans are currently before the department of education for an extension to the state of the art school. Mr Boyle says they have seen an increase in enrolments, meaning further classroom accommodation is needed.
Ronan Gargan has been speaking to Colaiste Dun an Ri, Principal Fergal Boyle about the schools development since its inception back in 2016.
