This week Aontu called on the GAA to drop its policy of cashless tickets for GAA grounds. Like Age Action has done, the Party says the move is discriminating against some older people who are not comfortable buying tickets online.
Aontu's Cavan representative, Cllr Sarah O'Reilly was the first to raise the national issue when she spoke openly about the experiences of older GAA supporters in her community last October at a meeting of the local authority.
She spoke to the Wider View earlier about the matter and she began by explaining why a cashless ticket system in the GAA is "unfair".
