The 1,800 Ukrainians who have arrived in Co Cavan gathered on Friday afternoon to mark the first anniversary of the invasion of their homeland by Russia. Prayers were said at the Cathedral of St Patrick's and Feilm and this was followed by a ceremony at the courthouse which was lit up in the blue and yellow colours of the Ukrainian flag.
