A County Cavan woman, who lost her son to suicide 10 years ago this week, is reminding people who feel they need help, to reach out.
Bernie Smith says talking about your problems should always be to the fore. Moreover, family members or friends of someone that may be suffering to have that conversation. She says they need to feel like they are not on their own.
Bernie's beloved son Patrick died by suicide on September 9th 2014. She has been telling Ronan Gargan about her son and her experience as a family feeling alone highlighting a lack of services and recourses.
