One Co Cavan man is on a mission to raise money for the local SOSAD branch in Cavan and it involves heading to the North Pole of all places.
Daniel Downey will take on a challenge to climb a mountain close to Svalbard which is the closest town to the North Pole.
This isn't the first time that the local community worker has taken on a challenge for charity with Mental Health Ireland and SOSAD receiving funds from a previous trip to Greenland and walking a Camino.

Ahead of his trip to the North Pole Ronan Gargan has been speaking to Daniel and he's been telling me all about his challenge that he has decided to undertake.
