Co Cavan Library Services is launching another series of history podcasts and this week's episode is 'The Life and Death of Andy O'Sullivan, 1885-1923' by Micil Ryan. Historian in Residence Dr Brendan Scott, or one of the historians involved chats to numerous people throughout the series and brings some previously unknown heroes of the past back to life.
Speaking to the Wider View this week, Dr Scott explained that Micil, a relative of Andy will discusses Andy's upbringing in Cavan and his life in Cork as an intelligence officer for the IRA, culminating with his early death in Dublin while on hunger strike.
