Cavan County Council is to write to the Minister for transport seeking a review of the Driver Theory Test. The move follows concerns that Cllr Trevor Smith raised over the number of people who are failing the test, some of whom have failed multiple times.
Speaking to the Wider View this week, Cllr Smith highlighted how the high rate of test failures is having a "negative impact" on young people across rural communities who are reliant on their drivers licence for job opportunities. First though, he began by explaining why the matter needs to be prioritised by the powers that be.
