LISTEN BACK: Carrickmacross pulls out all the stops for 'inclusive' St Patrick's Day festivities

A number of parades will be taking place across Cavan and Monaghan to mark St Patrick's Day. Just one the many celebrations attributed to our Patron Saint will be taking place in Carrickmacross at 3pm.

Speaking to the Wider View ahead of today's much anticipated festivities, Cllr Colm Carthy said there is "something for everyone" including a special sensory section for children and adults who are sensitive to noise.

First though, he began by explaining how popular the Co Monaghan parade is every year.
