A Carrickmacross Councillor has hit out at the GP provision in the town, saying the current number of GPs is not sustainable.
Cllr Noel Keelan also raised concerns about the upcoming cut to NEDOC services.
From early August, NEDOC is set to implement a reduced service where out-of-hours care on a face-to-face basis will only be provided until 10.30 pm on weekdays, and 10 pm at weekends.
At yesterday's Carrickmacross-Castleblayney MD meeting, Councillor Keelan also said that he has received assurances that Breffni House is in the process of being developed and will be in full use as a B&B in the coming months.
