Plans to close Kilnaleck Garda Station has been met with anger and backlash.
Cllr Trevor Smith bought a motion to Cavan County Council yesterday at their monthly meeting calling for clarity.
The Fine Gael councillor called on the council to write immediately to Minister for Justice Helen McEntee and the Garda Commissioner Drew Harris to seek clarity into the situation.
