Members of Cavan County Council have agreed to write to Cavan County Board to insist that it accepts cash at matches.
The development follows complaints to councillors by members of the public who arrived at games with cash in their pockets only to be told it was ticket only entry.
Cllr Sarah O’Reilly said the issue was around the move in more recent times to a cashless society but added there was a cohort of people who still use cash to avail of goods and services.
