Bishop of KIlmore, Martin Hayes, spoke to Northern Sound about plans in the diocese for the visit of St Killian's relics. They will be in Cavan from the 3rd to the 6th of October.
Kilian was born to noble parents in approximately the year 640 in Cloughballybeg near Mullagh. He became a missionary, settling in Wurzburg in Germany.
He and two of his contemporaries; the priest Kolonat and the deacon Totna; were assassinated in the 7th century for their Catholic convictions and their remains stayed in Germany.
Until now. Bishop Hayes told Zoe Tunney about how the diocese will welcome home the saint from Mullagh.
