Not many can claim two Olympians in their family but, 97-year-old Kathleen Maguire from Ballyconnell can do just that.
First cousins golfer Leona Maguire and pairs rower Ross Corrigan are her grandchildren who have been flying the flag for Ireland at Paris 2024. The parents of the first cousins are two of Kathleen's 16 children.
She also has 59 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and even great-great grandchildren. Married at 17, her first child was born at home just 10 months later.
Zoe Tunney caught up with Kathleen and Ross' mum, Yvonne Corrigan, in her pretty house in Ballyconnell when they talked about this Olympics and the next.. Yvonne says Leona and Ross get their drive and work ethic from her amazing mother.
