Monaghan County Council, in partnership with John McLaughlin Architects and the Monaghan Town Team, have developed an ambitious heritage led regeneration plan for Monaghan town and St Louis Convent lands. The project is funded by the Heritage Council, and also through the first strand of the Town Centre First Heritage Revival Scheme.
With the public consultation process now complete, those involved are looking ahead to the next stage of the project. Jodie Curran spoke with Drew Hurley who is a Senior Executive Planner in the
Town Regeneration Sector of Monaghan County Council. She began by asking him to explain more about the project and how it will help to further develop the county town:
