Listen Back: Advise issued for those taking to local roads this Bank Holiday weekend

The Garda bank holiday roads policing operation is now in full swing.

It began yesterday and will run until 7am on Tuesday.

So far, 113 people have died in crashes. Indeed, bank holidays tend to be the most dangerous time to use the roads.

Ronan Gargan spoke to Chief Superintendent Alan McGovern who is the head of the Cavan/Monaghan garda division ahead of the bank holiday weekend.
