Monaghan Cllr, Paudge Connolly has called on the Government to afford older people the opportunity to have solar panels fitted on their homes. He says it will help them with the cost of living crisis, reduce their energy bills and benefit the environment.
Cllr Connolly added that payment for the panels could be carried out in a smilar way to the way in which payment is operated through the fair deal scheme. The local area representative spoke to the Wider View this week about the matter and he began by explaining how he first raised the matter at local level.
