Owners of historic Monaghan buildings can get €200k grant. A local Cllr in North Monaghan has welcomed the news that Monaghan County Council is inviting owners and custodians of historic and protected structures to apply for grant funding. The funding is under the Historic Structure Fund (HSF) 2025; and the Historic Thatch Building Stream of the Built Heritage Investment Scheme (BHIS) 2025.
The Historic Structure Fund assists the conservation and enhancement of historic structures and buildings. Indeed, it awards a small number of grants ranging from €50,000 up to €200,000. Moreover, with a focus on larger enhancement, refurbishment or reuse projects involving heritage structures.
