Smithborough native Lorraine O’Driscoll is one of a number of local people who are using their skills to help the fight against Covid-19, both here in Ireland.
From her base in Trinity College in Dublin, Lorraine is working on contact tracing for those diagnosed with the virus in the Republic of Ireland, but she’s also advising on testing for the coronavirus in sub-Saharan Africa.
She recently spoke to The Wider View, and started by explaining how she got involved in testing in Africa.
