A feature documentary film documenting the work of the Project Children charity and the pursuit of reconciliation in Northern Ireland is screening in the local region this week.
Denis Mulcahy has been speaking in the local region as he gets ready to host two red carpet screenings of ‘How to Defuse a Bomb: the Project Children Story’.
He founded the charity that took children to America during The Troubles, says that the hard part was sending them back home to conflict zones.
For 40 years the charity took Catholic and Protestant children away from the fighting, to spend a summer in the American suburbs where they stayed with US families.
Denis Mulcahy joined Caroline Gauley on The Wider View and started by explaining how he came to starting the charity.
