It's a "kick in the teeth" to see unfinished dwellings in Carrickmacross.
That's according to local councillor Colm Carthy in regards to what he described as the "eye sore" on the old Ardee Road.
Health and safety works at the site of an unfinished housing estate in Carrickmacross are set to start this week.
At a recent Carrickmacross-Castleblayney MD meeting, Colm Carthy passed a motion calling for a meeting with Tuath Housing to discuss "perceived delays on construction" to the estate close to the Carrickmacross Library.
He added that it "also offers an opportunity to provide much needed housing to the area and we need to see it progress".
