Noteworthy, the investigative platform from The Journal, is today revealing that a multi-authority investigation is underway into potential fraud in planning applications for poultry farms in Northern Ireland.
Border counties were most impacted, with Monaghan identified as having the highest concentration of poultry farms.
The work by Niall Sargent highlights how falsified and altered documents, purporting to be from the Irish agri-research body Teagasc, were used to support 23 planning applications in the North over the past few years.
