A local councillor has warned that the people of Carrickmacross won't stomach any further delays to an unfinished housing estate on the Old Ardee Road.

While seven units are complete, work has ceased on other properties.
Councillor Carthy called for the meeting and said Tuath Housing needs to provide clarity over the coming weeks on whether it will be able to complete a stalled housing estate in Carrickmacross
At yesterday's meeting, Councillor Carthy says Tuath Housing has blamed delays on "contractual problems regarding costs and other issues" between the Housing body and the contractor, and that these discussions are on-going.
