A spitfire that crashed into a local field is to go on display for the first time in Ireland.
The Monaghan Museum is to host ‘The Monaghan Spitfire: Life on the Border with a World at War’ and will explore times when the global conflict touched the local region.
Along with the launch, they’ll be closing the streets in front of the museum to display an actual RAF Spitfire and a WW2 40mm Anti – Aircraft Gun.
