A Monaghan man has been reunited with his dog after it was found wandering the streets of Donegal.
Jasper, a 12 year old black and white shih tzu dog, went missing from Smithborough and ended up over 100 kilometres away in Letterkenny.
But local man Cormac Connolly was re-united with his beloved dog when Donegal native Tess McLoughlin put an image of the lost dog on Facebook.
Cormac couldn’t believe his dog had travelled so far, but a scan of the dog’s microchip revealed it to be Jasper.
After Jasper was reunited with its owner, Tess said she “couldn’t be happier if I won the lotto”.
Cormac spoke to Aaron McElroy about the ordeal, and started by talking about his much-loved Jasper.
