Many people have felt isolated because of Covid-19, but what about feeling isolated in a house full of people?
This is the case for many young people across the region who are struggling with their identity or sexuality. Many of the members of the LGBT+ community in both Cavan and Monaghan have reported that they don't feel safe in their home to come out and they feel alone.
The LGBT+ Youth Development Officer for both Cavan and Monaghan, Barry McSkeane has been speaking to Sheila Naughton about the impact it has been having on their mental health and the importance of having conversations with young people at home and letting them know that they are loved.
