A local man is at the fore of the fight to legalise medicinal cannabis in the UK and Ireland.
Kristofer Shekleton is a Fianna Fáil political activist and has been involved with the case of Tyrone boy Billy Caldwell who was granted an 'exceptional licence' for medical cannabis due to the emergency nature of his case.
Billy is severely epileptic causing him to have traumatic fits, and cannabis oil is the only thing that eases his symptoms.
His mother launched a campaign to get the oil when Billy's seizures intensified and she feared for his life.
