A Belturbet GAA club is embarking on a 1,500 kilometre run in aid of Cavan General Hospital.
Over the course of the coming week, the senior men and ladies teams of Belturbet Rory O’Moores will run the distance between both teams.

A gofundme page has been set up for the fundraising effort which can be found on the club’s Facebook and Twitter accounts.
As of writing, the club has already surpassed its target of three thousand euro.

The club’s chairman, Paul O’Reilly, spoke to The Wdier View about the fundraiser and he revealed that most of the proceeds will go towards providing Personal Protective Equipment for Cavan General Hospital.
