20 years ago today Cavan native Catherina McKiernan stormed ahead and won the London Marathon.
To mark the occasion she’s gearing up for the sixth annual Run with Catherina 5k race which will take place this Saturday.
Catherina is a multi-world cross country medallist and is regarded as one of Ireland’s most successful sports women.

She joined Caroline Gauley on The Wider View to talk a bit more about what she’s been up to since that magnificent London Marathon win.
She started by explaining more about the annual race she organises in Cavan:
